This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on trendread.com and in the Trendread application (the "Service"), what they do, and how you can control them.
It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy. Terms defined there have the same meaning here. The controller responsible for these technologies is Iaroslav Meshchanov, contactable at trendread.deal@gmail.com.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
We also use technologies that work like cookies but are not technically cookies. In this Policy, "cookies" covers all of them:
- Local storage and session storage — data stored in your browser rather than sent with each request, used for session state and preferences.
- Pixels (web beacons) — tiny images or code snippets that record that a page was loaded or an action taken, used for advertising measurement.
- Software development kits (SDKs) and scripts — code from third-party providers that runs on the Service and may set its own identifiers.
Cookies are either first-party (set by trendread.com) or third-party (set by another domain, such as an analytics or advertising provider). They are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period.
2. The categories we use

We do not use cookies to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell personal information for money (see §10.2 of the Privacy Policy regarding "sharing" under California law).
3. The cookies we use
The tables below reflect the technologies in use as at the "Last updated" date. Exact names and durations set by third-party providers may change without notice to us; where they do, the category and purpose remain as described.

PostHog data is processed in the United States. Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States and other countries. See §7 of the Privacy Policy for the safeguards applied to international transfers.
3.3 Advertising and marketing

Meta acts as an independent or joint controller for advertising purposes under its own terms. We recommend reviewing Meta's own privacy policy and ad settings if you wish to understand or limit how it uses this data.
4. Your choices
4.1 Our cookie banner
When you first visit the Service from a jurisdiction where consent is required, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies are not set before you give consent. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, as the Service cannot function without them.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the site footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
4.2 Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies through their settings. Instructions are available from your browser's own help pages — the relevant settings are typically found under Privacy, Security, or Site Settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Brave.
Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will prevent you from signing in and will stop parts of the Service from working. We cannot accept responsibility for reduced functionality resulting from cookie settings you have chosen.
4.3 Other opt-outs
- Google Analytics — Google provides a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Meta advertising — you can adjust ad preferences in the settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honour GPC signals where applicable law requires it.
- Do Not Track — we do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common standard for interpreting them has been adopted.
5. Cookies set by third parties
Some cookies described above are set by third-party providers under their own privacy policies and are not fully within our control. We select our providers with care and, where they act as our processors, bind them by contract. However, we are not responsible for the practices of third parties, and their inclusion here does not imply endorsement.
If you reach a third-party site through a link from the Service, that site's own cookie and privacy practices apply.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our providers, technologies or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when it was last revised.
Where a change materially affects how we use non-essential cookies, we will seek fresh consent through the banner. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date otherwise constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
